Will the Mavs get Al Harrington?
They just traded Dampier, Najera, and Carroll to the Bobcats for Tyson Chandler. Will Al be a good fit coming off the bench? They already got The Jet and Roddy Buckets coming off of it.
The plan is that they are trying to sign him for the mid level exception.
Then about Roddy buckets, Carlisle said that there is a strong chance Roddy may start to give Kidd more rest leading into the playoffs and help develop him. You could potentially be looking at a lineup like,
C- Haywood/ Chandler
F- Nowitzki/ Harrington
F- Butler/ Marion
G- Roddy B/ Terry
G- Kidd/ Barea
Harrington would be nice off the bench because it adds more depth and he is a guy that can get 20 on a given night. If Terry is cold, Al will be hot, if Al is cold, Terry will be hot. It gives the Mavs 2 options. Also about Roddy being small for the 2 spot, they could just switch Kidd onto the 2 and let Roddy guard the point guard. Kidd guards shooting guards better anyways.
