Why the light out of the water heater when hot water is used?
It took a little trial and error to discover, but the light stays on forever ... as long as we do not use water. The second is water from the reservoir, the light goes out, even if the burner is at full power. Even when the burner is lit and shot away at full power using the water will extinguish the flame itself.
I'd say you have debris in the driver and only a small flame which is being developed by the action of the burner. You can take a needle and clean the port driver or remove the pilot tube of the gas valve and clean it this way
