will sram road shifters work with all shimano drivetrain?

will sram road shifters work with all shimano drivetrain? or will I need to by a rival deriallieur or anything else? If anyone had details about htis that would great

The crank, front derailleur, chain and cassette will be fine, but you'll need to use a Sram road derailleur to match the shifters. They don't have any Shimano-compatible shifters in the road group, and from what I've heard they have no plans to introduce them (unlike the mtb components).

You can use either the Force, Rival, or Red components....they all interchange. You can NOT use any of the mtb rear derailleurs, however. The road components use a different shifting setup.

(and fwiw, the spacing on Sram cassettes is no different than Shimano, Campy, IRC, or any of the others on the market. I've interchanged both Sram and Shimano cassettes between both road and mountain bikes (cross-breeding them!) with zero issues. The freehubs/splines are different between Shimano/Campy, but the spacing between the teeth is the same....it will be that way until the standard rear frame spacing/hub width changes, or when someone introduces a proprietary chain...and god help us all if that ever happens! LOL Some cassettes (like Dura Ace) are designed to be used only with a matching freehub body, even though the splines are standard and would match up with, say, an Ultegra or Deore LX hub. But comparing 9-spd to 9-spd or 10-spd to 10-spd, the spacing is the same.)
