Storm Door Closer Question?
I have a new door and had some wind blow the door open and bend the two hydraulic door closers. I went to lowes and bought two new ones but the door is very hard to open. I loosened the two screws to make the door close faster instead of the slow close. I am thinking of just taking one off the door or both.
When I pull the door open it is pulling back pretty strong. The door closes but should the two hydraulic closers be identically matched with the srcew setting?
two is usually the way to go. the new ones will eventually loosen up some. wipe the rod make sure it is clean, adjust as necessary, give it a couple of days they'll work.
